We met her at an open house, and due to her personable, friendly nature and our comfort level with her, we decided to hire her to represent us in finding a suitable home. We made offers on three homes before making an offer on the home we finally purchased. My husband and I were buying our first home and had done a lot of research on our own, so we came to her with a long list of properties we wanted to see. We were able to see everything we wanted plus others we found through Howard Hanna's portal. Buying for the first time is very overwhelming, and she was great at helping us focus on the important things and not get caught up in the little details. She was constantly checking in and keeping us up to date during the closing period. You could tell she really had our best interests at heart and was determined to find the right house for us. We had a good idea what we wanted and Geralyn was very patient as we were quite picky. She was helpful with suggesting homes and pointing out pros and cons of each home we toured. We ended up putting in offers on two house and both times, Geralyn helped us create really attractive offers without going over our budget or comprising on inspections. Geralyn’s negotiation skills can be credited for helping our offer be accepted. Geralyn had great recommendations for inspections and contractors, making the process much easier. Our closing company (not Geralyn’s recommendation) was non responsive in the weeks leading up to closing, but Geralyn was behind the scenes making sure everything was on track without causing us stress. At one point she was actually helping to scrub out the basement pre-sale! If you are looking for a true partner to sell a house, not necessarily to the highest bidder but to the RIGHT buyer, Geralyn is your agent. She knows the area, the buyers, the market. She knows what you need to do for a good listing, and she knows the photographer who will make your house look like a million bucks.
